Instructions for the operation, care and maintenance of EVEROLI oil-wax parquet flooring
High-quality EVEROLI wood flooring is made entirely of natural wood. This flooring has high practical and aesthetic characteristics.
The manufacturer provides a warranty for the floor installed in accordance with the following instructions:
-
-
- The temperature in the room where the wooden floor is installed should be 18-24°C.
- The relative humidity in the room should be between 40% and 60%.
- The maximum temperature on the surface of the boards installed on underfloor heating must not exceed 27°C. It is forbidden to lay carpets, carpeting, or furniture with a leg height of less than 10 cm on any floor covering installed on underfloor heating.
- Only products (cleaners and other care products) designed for oiled wood floors should be used for floor care. The use of other care products may result in discoloration of the floor, stains, changes in slipperiness of the floor surface or changes in its gloss.
- As a daily maintenance, just vacuuming or sweeping is enough.
- The frequency of floor maintenance procedures depends on the intensity of traffic on the floor.
- Any sand on the floor surface should be removed immediately. Any accumulation of sand will cause scratches in the varnish, as well as minor dents and scratches in the wood surface.
- At the entrance to the premises from the street or terrace, inside and outside, there should be door mats that effectively remove sand, water and other pollutants that can damage the wooden floor.
- To remove dust, use a dry and soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush. You can also use a slightly damp cloth, with or without the addition of an oiled wood floor cleaner. Do not leave any wet marks on the floor surface after cleaning.
- Felt pads should be installed on the legs and bases of all furniture and other furnishings that come into direct contact with the wooden floor.
- Be sure to use plastic protective mats, protective padding, or protective carpets under chairs and other pieces of furniture on wheels to prevent mechanical damage to the floor. Check that no sand is trapped under the mats and remove it immediately if found. If this type of contamination remains under the mat, it will scratch the surface layer of the floor below the mat.
- Under no circumstances should a wooden floor be covered with plastic wrap or other material that does not allow moisture and air to pass through.
- Claims for discoloration of the wood will not be accepted if the floor has been exposed to light (UV radiation).
- The floor can be refinished by sanding and re-oiling. The manufacturer officially approves the use of oils intended for wood floors during such renovation, if they are used in accordance with the instructions for use. The number of floor refinishing cycles that involve removing the surface layer of wood depends on the depth of the mechanical damage. Before starting mechanical restoration (sanding), analyze the condition of the floor and the possibility of mechanical restoration.
- Failure to comply with the above recommendations will immediately void the material and service warranty.
- If the subfloor is underfloor heating, the manufacturer only allows EVEROLI floor coverings to be installed with adhesive.
- Before installing on a subfloor with an underfloor heating system, the owner and installer must heat it according to the EVEROLI installation guide.
-
